I used to be a soldier, now I like to read and write.
C.S. Lewis explains why better than I can:
“Whenever you are fed up with life, start writing: ink is the great cure for all human ills, as I have found out long ago.”
If you’re struggling with my writing, maybe you’re taking everything I say too seriously. Try familiarizing yourself with a few of the following words:
metaphor; nuance; hyperbole; speculate; caricature; conjecture
I prefer a maximalist leaning style. If you’re looking for short punchy paragraphs and sentences, click-bait titles, and you can’t make it through a long paragraph without having an urge to scroll on for the next bit of soon-forgotten-slow-drip-dopamine-slop, then move along. You can find that almost anywhere else.
And if you’re still having trouble that’s okay; everything isn’t for everyone.
Lastly, I apologize for any turbo-negative writing. It might just be a cathartic phase. I’ll keep an eye out for positivity, I’m sure it’ll come with time.
